Tuteluttan and I have an ongoing search for today's most fashionable politician. In a previous post, Tuteluttan nominated Carl Bildt and I agreed. Today however, I came across this image of the controversial Dutch politician and film-maker Geert Wilders. I think with that rather stylish Euro-cowboy black suit, black hat, and rifle, Wilders really comes off as a master of his image. I think Wilders therefore takes the prize for today's most fashionable politician!
Geert Wilders shot to a kind of political notoriety with his controversial perspectives on Islam and Europe. His very recent film Fitna is considered inflammatory by many muslims... and so the video posted here may be removed by Youtube sometime soon.
